Batch file renamer
Name Mangler is an intuitive and advanced batch renamer for Mac. It offers a number of renaming possibilities like numbers, characters, suffixes and prefixes.
Renaming follows a very streamlined process. You have to first drag and drop the files you want to rename onto the interface, then select what action you want to perform and finally press the Play button. If you press the down arrow on the top right, you'll be able to create a droplet, which can be used with any file. A droplet is saved in your Mac and all you need to do is to drop a file onto it to rename it.
Name Mangler will also allow you to create playlists for your music library and supports most audio file formats.
On the downside, we found that the drag and drop function those have a tendency to lag when you select more than one file.
Despite slow drag-and-drop, Name Mangler definitely makes renaming multiple files much easier, especially when using droplets.
